Lisa Kuligowski ‘98 Memorial Endowed Scholarship
A $1,000 scholarship to an outstanding returning Geography major with at least junior standing who demonstrates academic achievement, the potential to excel in the pursuit of graduate studies, and a commitment to Department service and collegiality. This scholarship is a memorial to the late Lisa Kuligowski, Class of 1998. Upon her passing, Lisa’s family and friends generously established an endowment to fund this scholarship in her memory.
Gamma Theta Upsilon Prize for Excellence in Geography
Awarded for excellence in Geography, presented by the International Geography Honor Society. Based on Geography Major/GTU member with the highest overall GPA.
Matthew G. Hutchinson Memorial Community Service Prize
Awarded to an outstanding Geography Major whose work has noteworthy benefit to this community and its surrounding region.
James Gorcesky Memorial Cartography Prize
This prize, established in memory of a Geography & Planning major who sought professional excellence in cartography, is awarded for demonstrated excellence in manual or automated cartography.
National Council for Geographic Education Prize
Awarded to an outstanding undergraduate in Geography.
Susan K. Walker Geography Memorial Prize
This prize, established in memory of a Geography Major who developed a magnificent non-destructive lifestyle on our planet, is awarded to an outstanding Geography major.
