Meet sophomore biology major Sarah Karimi from Syracuse, NY. Karimi is the president of the Muslim Student Association (MSA) and a member of the Pre-Dental Club and the South Asian cultural club, Shakti. She also works in Associate Professor Travis Bailey's lab, assisting in researching retinal regeneration and development in zebrafish. After graduation, Karimi plans to become an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

Daniel Hungerman, professor of economics at the University of Notre Dame, will deliver the 2025 Phi Beta Kappa Lecture on Monday, April 7.

The lecture, “Every Day Is Earth Day: Understanding the Long-term Impacts of April 22, 1970,” will be held in Milne Library’s Multipurpose Room A from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The talk is free and open to the public.

Paleoecologist Patricia H. Kelley, professor emerita at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, will deliver the 21st annual in Newton Hall 214 on April 3 at 7:30 pm. Kelley’s talk, “Conservation Paleobiology: Using the Dead to Save the Living,” is free and open to the public.

Meet Kaden Wheeler ‘25, a biology and sociomedical science major with a college honors program minor, from Waverly, New York. Wheeler has been involved with a number of clubs and on campus organizations, including serving as a crew chief for the Geneseo First Response (GFR), a student-run emergency medical service (EMS) volunteer group.

������’s Department of Theatre and Dance proudly presents the Geneseo Dance Ensemble in Dancing into View, which is dedicated to Myrtle Merritt, PhD, featuring works by faculty and student choreographers with 50 performers. The concert, artistically directed and produced by professor of dance studies Jonette Lancos, will be presented in the Alice Austin Theatre on February 27, February 28, and March 1 at 7:30 p.m., and March 2 at 2 p.m.

Wilder comes to Geneseo from Albright College in Reading, PA, where she served most recently as the inaugural dean to lead online programs in its School of Business and Professional Studies.
