
Six şÚÁĎÍř athletic teams will compete in the NCAA postseason during the next two weekends: women’s basketball, men’s ice hockey, men’s and women’s track and field, and men’s and women’s swimming and diving.

The women’s basketball team advanced to the Sweet 16 with upset victories over and . Geneseo will travel to Gettysburg, PA, this week to take on #1 NYU on Friday, March 14, at 4:30 p.m. The Knights clinched an automatic berth to the postseason tournament by winning the over Brockport. or .
The men’s ice hockey team earned the right to host the first round of the NCAA Tournament after winning the and will face Stevenson University on Saturday, March 15, at 7 p.m. in the Ira S. Wilson Arena. Geneseo enters the postseason tournament as the #6 ranked team in the country, with a record of 22–4–1. or .
Men’s and women’s track and field teams travel to Nazareth University on Friday and Saturday, March 14 and 15, for NCAA Division III competition. The women’s team will compete in nine different events with 11 student-athletes. The men’s team will take on the 400m and 4x400 relay events. Men’s and women’s swimming and diving round out the NCAA competition in Greensboro, NC, next Wednesday–Saturday, March 19–22. Both teams recently earned their first Empire 8 titles, making it 11 straight conference titles for the men and 16 straight for the women. The qualified five swimmers in six different events; the qualified four swimmers in two. Graduate diver Trent Makowiec also qualified; he was the national runner-up in both the one- and three-meter dive events last year. .
