Research interests

Labour Law, EU Law, Constitutional Theory

My outputs in recent years include work on collective labour law, migrant workers, and a co-edited publication on the multi-faceted inherent crisis of the EU that has manifested in recent years, with the euro crisis as its first symptom.

On the labour law front, I currently work on digital forms of collective organisation and action, and on examining the value of collective autonomy as inherent prerequisite of systemic democratisation. On the EU and constitutional theory side, I have recently worked on a collaborative project examining elements of ‘populist constitutionalism’, and intend to continue work on assessing the constitutional nature of the EU. 

Inter alia, I am a member of the Society of Legal Scholars (SLS), the Industrial Law Society (ILS), the Manchester Industrial Relations Society (MIRS) the Academic Network on European Social Charter and Social Rights (RACSE/ANESC). I sit on the Editorial Board of the Greek Labour Law Review (ΕΕργΔ) and on the Scientific Committee of the ‘Moving Labour Collective’ (MLC), a community of academics and researchers working on labour law and related studies open to trade unionists and activists.

I joined ������ & Caius from Manchester, where I was Lecturer in Law at The University of Manchester law school (SoSS/Law), teaching Employment Law and EU law. While there I was also the Course Director for Employment Law between 2017-2022 and the Programme Director for the LLB Law With Politics (2019-2022). Before Manchester I had worked as a Teaching Associate at the University of Cambridge Faculty of Law and also supervised for various colleges (Constitutional Law, EU Law, and Labour Law), and, briefly, as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Labour Law).

Before fully committing to academia I was a practising barrister in Greece, working predominantly on labour law.
