Set in the early 1980s in St. Andrew鈥檚 Parish, Jamaica, brown girl in the ring is a memory play with music. Fiercely humane, compassionate, uncompromised, the play is a victory for the theatre and for the transforming power of the imagination to turn devastation into beauty.
